This article is to help you record your computer screen in order to upload to YouTube a scenario where you might use this would be to present a presentation to your students such as a slide show or PDF document.
Mac Instructions
- Press cmd + shift + 5 on your keyboard you will see your cursor turn to a camera.
- To record the whole screen click on the screen with the cursor and the recording will start
- When you are finished you will see the recording in the bottom right of your screen and you can drag it to your desktop for easy access later.
- You can then continue on to Uploading Your Video To YouTube (insert link)
iPad Instructions
First you will need to make the screen recording shortcut available in your control center as described in steps 1 and 2.
- Go to Settings > Control Center > Customize Controls, then tap
next to Screen Recording. - Swipe up from the bottom edge of any screen. On iPhone X or later or iPad with iOS 12 or later, or iPadOS, swipe down from the upper-right corner of the screen.
- Press deeply on
and tap Microphone. - Tap Start Recording, then wait for the three-second countdown.
- Open Control Center and tap
. Or tap the red status bar at the top of your screen and tap Stop.
Go to the Photos app and select your screen recording.
